You may have seen our slogan, ‘your property is our business’ well, we’ve got another one for you…’Experts in the local market’ and we’re not just talking about the property market!
With more years of experience in the local property market than we want to admit we’re also experts in local businesses. Particularly over the past year, we have been supporting local businesses in any way that we can, whether it be on social media, through one of our blogs or popping along to our local shop, pub or restaurant.
We have loved seeing businesses fight, thrive and push through the pandemic, we’ve even found some new businesses that have taken the plunge during these uncertain times which is why we’re giving a big shout out to some of our favourite local businesses.
Smokd Kitchen NEW!
Sharing their love of smoked meats, beer and music, Tom and Rob have created Newport’s newest independent restaurant in Friars Walk. With a mouth-watering menu and locally sourced drinks we’ve already booked our table, don’t forget to show your love by posting your visit on Facebook or Instagram.
Alex and his team at Hoodhill Motor are located on Ponthir Road in Caerleon boasting both a forecourt and website filled with quality cars for sale. Not only are they local boys with a local business they also support their local football team! You can spot the Hoodhill logo on Newport County’s new away kit, which also features the club’s slogan ‘One Club One County’ and we couldn’t agree more.
The Pavilion Coffee Shop
You’ve probably unknowingly driven past the Pavilion but now you can stop off for a cuppa and bite to eat. Nestled just off Malpas Road and a stone’s throw from the canal, the Pavilion is run by Sharon Wilkins, a lifelong resident of Malpas and popular member of the community. Her home-cooked treats are the perfect pit-stop for breakfast, lunch or just a cheeky cake!
From rustic backdrops to prosecco walls, the days of banners and balloons at parties are over! Elegant Events Hire is a family run business that has some seriously stunning event hire decorations and furniture that you need to see to believe. Once you scroll through their Facebook page you’ll be thinking of an excuse to plan a party!
Just typing the words Madame Fromage has our taste buds tingling! We first visited their shop in Cardiff when they opened in 2005 since then they opened a unit for collection and delivery in Cwmbran in more recently s new deli and café on Nevill Street in Abergavenny which we are absolutely obsessed with. If you enjoy cheese and chutneys then you need to book a table immediately.
