*PLEASE SHARE* Here are the FACTS about what Estate Agents can and can't do, along with our process to help buyers and sellers over the coming two weeks.

As we are now all aware lockdown rules apply to us from the 23rd of October at 6pm.

**Main points:

NO viewings are allowed to be carried out during the two-week lockdown period – this includes BOTH occupied and vacant properties.

Estate Agents' offices must be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

NO VALUATIONS OR LISTINGS can take place in properties that are occupied/currently lived in.

Moving home should be delayed, only if possible.

How Hathways are planning on keeping the local market moving during this period:

**Buyers:

As per the Government’s guidance, ALL of our properties are available to view virtually either on our website or our YouTube channel as well as on Rightmove, Zoopla, Primelocation, On The Market in addition to other online portals. You can contact us to register your interest during the lockdown period.

**Sellers:

If you have a vacant property, we can value the property for you in a CONTACTLESS way. You simply need to contact us via info@hathways.co.uk or via our Facebook page and let us know that you will be dropping a key into one of our local offices. We will then collect the key and visit the property and report back to you accordingly.

For any contactless valuations in Torfaen and the surrounding areas keys can be dropped into our Cwmbran offices and for any contactless valuations in Caerleon, Newport, and the surrounding areas keys can be dropped into our Caerleon office.

IF YOU LIVE IN A PROPERTY that you want to be valued, we can carry out a virtual valuation if you send in a video to us via our Facebook page or via WeTransfer, etc. We will aim to get back to you on the SAME DAY.

It has been confirmed that Surveyors can visit vacant properties over the lockdown period so all of our vacant properties that are currently under offer awaiting mortgage valuations or surveys will still be catered for and there will be no delays.

We have the availability to work remotely over the lockdown period and will be here for all new and existing clients to ensure we can keep you moving.
